   David3 MERRILL (Abraham2) was born 20 Feb. 1677/8, in Newbury, Mass. The time of his death can be approximately inferred from the fact that administration was granted on his estate 7 Mar. 1760. He was described as a joiner (*). He married, 18 Dec. 1706, Mary Morse, daughter of Deacon Benjamin and Ruth (Sawyer) Morse of Newbury, who was born 15 May, 1686, in Newbury, and died 10 Aug. 1755. Children, born in Newbury:

   78   i.   David4, b. 1 May, 1708; d. 1 June, 1789.
  
  ii. Stephen4, b. 24 Feb. 1709/10; d. before 4 Jan. 1762, without issue.
 
  iii.     Benjamin4, b. 3 Apr. 1712; d. unm. about 1746.
 
  (79)  iv. Moses4, b. 17 Feb. 1713/14. His share of his
       father's estate was given to his "legal representatives,"
   showing the death of Moses4
   prior to 4 Jan. 1762. Who his representatives
   were is not indicated.
 
   80 v. Eliphalet4, b. 7 Oct. 1717.
 
  vi. Mary4, b. 9 May, 1721; m. 13 May, 1742, in Newbury,
       William Barker of Andover, Mass.; lived in Andover.
 
   81 vii. Abraham4, b. 3 Jan. 1722/3; d. 25 Apr. 1791.
